Overnight Dog Boarding
Overnight Boarding at Brookwood Pet Resort is in a class by itself:
- Our overnight boarding room has radiant-heated floors
- We have full climate control and offer a warm cozy atmosphere during the colder months and air-conditioned comfort during those hot summer days.
- Our pods are oversized with doors connecting them to each other to add even more space and comfort for your dog’s stay.
- All of our pods are completely indoors. No drafts or moisture coming in from indoor / outdoor runs.
- We’ve installed an energy ventilator system. Air is exchanged with fresh temperature controlled air about 6 times per hour.
- Every guest lots of love and attention.
- We feed an all-natural, human grade, premium pet food at no extra charge but will feed your simple special diet at no additional cost provided it has been bagged as individual meals.
- All guests are offered fresh clean water around the clock.
- Most of accomodations offer comfortable cots or blankets.

All dogs must be current on distemper and rabies vaccinations. We also require that a kennel cough vaccine be given no more than 12 months prior, but at least 7 days before coming to the resort.

VIP Program
Our VIP program offers:
- At least 2 potty breaks AND at least 3 playtimes per full day

- Top priority booking for our large pods
- At least 2 potty breaks AND at least 4 playtimes per full day!
VIP Out Alone
Our VIP OUT ALONE is for the dog that is better off going out by themself:
- At least 2 private potty breaks AND at least 3 private playtimes per full day
Please note: Dogs needing individualized attention in Brookwood’s opinion are required to stay at the VIP OUT ALONE rate for their safety and the safety of our other customers. Please check with our management team.
VIP Extra Care
Our VIP EXTRA CARE tailors a program to your dog’s special needs, which may include:
- Preparing a complicated diet or
- Administering extra medical attention or
- Offering your dog individual potty breaks and playtimes
- Any other extra care your pet may need.
- Customers wishing to combine the Out Alone and Deluxe programs.
What to Bring:
- Medications if needed (bring just enough for the stay, meds should be brought in a pill case with the days clearly labeled along with written instructions)
- Leash
Optional to Bring:
- Food and treats if your pet is on a special diet (meals must be individually portioned in sealable baggies), but keep in mind that we feed a very high quality food that your dog is sure to enjoy and do well on

- Tell me about your boarding packages
All boarding packages are charged by the night, not per calendar day.
Include morning and evening potty breaks, plus a minimum of two play times per day (at least one in the morning and one in the afternoon).
Play groups rotate throughout the day, so many dogs receive more than the daily minimum.
Deluxe $55: Receives first choice of our larger accommodations (pods).
VIP $50: Include morning and evening potty breaks, plus a minimum of two play times per day. Play groups rotate throughout the day.
Out Alone $55: For dogs who cannot participate in group play. May be booked by owner request or determined at our discretion.
Extra Care $65: Required for dogs with extensive or specialized care needs (e.g., paralysis requiring diaper changes/bladder expression, diabetic dogs requiring insulin injections, or complex medical/dietary requirements).
- Can my dog board if they don’t like to play in large groups?
Yes! Dogs can board even if they don’t enjoy large group play.
Some dogs prefer 1:1 play or very small groups of 3-4 dogs (always supervised by trained staff).
Small-group play is ideal for dogs who may not do well in large groups.
This can also be a great stepping stone, helping some dogs eventually transition into regular group play.
- Does my dog need to be spayed or neutered to board?
While we advocate for spaying and neutering at the appropriate age, it is not required to attend our facility.
Play groups are created each morning, and intact dogs are kept separate from each other.
If an intact dog causes issues (such as humping or being a target for humping), they are removed from the group and re-evaluated.
Alternative options may include 1:1 time with a staff member, a small compatible group, or solo play in a private yard.
- Do you have indoor and outdoor play spaces?
Yes! We have both indoor and outdoor play spaces.
Dogs play outside almost every day in our large, sandy play yards.
During warm summer months, we provide pools and hoses for dogs who enjoy water play.
On inclement weather days, dogs use our large indoor play room so they can still run, play, and stay active without being out in bad weather.
- What does the day look like for a dog boarding?
6:15am – Morning potty break. Lodgings are cleaned, bedding is fluffed, and water buckets are refreshed.
7:00am – Breakfast is served.
9:00am – Morning play groups begin (always supervised by at least one trained staff member, most groups have two).
11:30am–1:00pm – Scheduled nap and lunch period. Water buckets are refreshed at 11:30am, and lunch is served at noon for dogs who require it.
1:00pm – Afternoon play group rotations begin.
3:30pm – Water buckets are refreshed.
Late afternoon – Dogs return to their private lodgings for quiet time during open lobby hours.
6:00pm – Dinner is served.
7:45pm – Evening potty breaks begin.
8:00pm – Water buckets are refreshed.
8:30pm – Day ends.
- What should I send with my dog for boarding?
Your dog’s regular food: Pre-portioned into individual meal bags. Helps maintain normal diet and prevent digestive upset.
Medications (if applicable): Enough for the entire stay. Please include 1–2 extra doses in case of schedule changes or delays.
Optional comfort items: One hard or rubber chew (such as a Nylabone or Kong) and one blanket or article of clothing from home.
Seasonal items: One jacket for short-haired dogs during cold weather, to be worn during play groups.

- Many of our boarding families tell us that the report cards we send during their dog’s stay are one of their favorite parts of our service.
- These updates include notes, observations, & photos (when possible) to help owners feel connected while away. We are proud to offer this level of communication.
- What most people don’t realize is the hours spent by staff every day writing individualized report cards.
- This is a significant investment of time & care, & we do it because we understand how important it is to our customers.
- Why a Report Card May Not Be Sent
- Our goal is to have every pet receive at least one report card during their boarding stay. There are days when everything runs smoothly, & we complete every report card as planned. However, there are also days when operational demands increase – holidays, vacation weeks, weather, staff illness etc.
- When this happens, our priority must always be direct care: safety, supervision, feeding accuracy, medication administration, & maintaining a clean, well managed environment. On particularly busy days, it may not be physically possible to complete every report card without compromising the level of care we expect from ourselves.
- If You Would Like an Update
- You are always welcome to call, text, or email us at any time during your dog’s stay if you would like an update. We are happy to provide information on how your dog is doing.
- At pick up, you are also welcome to speak with our staff about your pet’s stay, behavior, eating, & any other details you would like to know.
